Get munchin’ on some downright delicious Indian food. Rikshaw serves up the best in Indian cuisine, while slinging samosas in a friendly, casual atmosphere. The menu has been carefully curated to captivate our guests with the aromatic flavours of India through the artful creation of blended spices.
Our line-up of menu provides a variety of traditional Indian dishes, as well as simplified pairings, offering options for both the newbie foodie and the curry connoisseur. Rikshaw is an Urban concept introduced to Nottingham for the very first time!
Our menus showcase traditional ingredients and cooking techniques from across the Indian sub-continent. We add our own contemporary twists to traditional recipes.
It might be urban street food & home-style food, but our approach in the kitchen is anything but simple. Traditional methods require skill, and a lot of time.
Our kitchens have unusually large teams of highly qualified, experienced cooks trained to follow those methods to the finest detail. The passion and respect you need to make our food is captured by a phrase you will hear repeatedly in our Rikshaw kitchen, “Hanjee Chef” (“Yes Chef”). Chefs – we salute you.

Part of the fabric of Mumbai’s vibrant street food culture, the rikshaw drivers are the inspiration for everything we do. Their mission has become our own: to offer home-cooked, nutritious dishes that feed the body, and comfort the soul
At lunchtime in Mumbai, there are Dhabawallas that flood the streets. These bicycle riding delivery men transport freshly made, home-cooked food to thousands of office workers and families across the city.
“Looking back on my childhood back in Kashmir, some of my favourite memories are those of family road trips to different cities to visit friends and relatives. These trips were a feast for the senses; from the vivid colours and artistry of the trucks we would pass along the way and the distinctive sounds of their horns, to the delicious flavours and aromas of the street food. Each place we would go offered a unique street food experience where I developed my passion for favourites such as chicken kebabs, lamb rolls, samosas and my favourite curry tawa chicken.
Now, the authentic food experience that I remember as a young boy is brought to life for you at Rikshaw. We offer a different take on Indian food that is both delicious and fresh, prepared daily using savoury spices, with flavourful herbs and marinades in place of rich and heavy sauces.
All our recipes have been developed with passion and spiced to perfection. We invite you to be a food explorer at Rikshaw and make our urban Indianfood your obsession.
